In this work, the analogy is built both through the title and through the possible similarities between the human body and elements of flora, which also display branching, pores, and creases in their organicity. In the lower left corner, an incision is made into the “bark”: the Southern Cross constellation, indicating its location, tattooed or “carved” beneath the living shell conceived by the painting.

Nesta obra, a analogia contrói-se tanto pelo nome quanto pelas semelhanças possíveis entre o corpo humano e elementos da flora, que também apresentam ramificações, poros, e vincos em sua organicidade. Em seu lado esquerdo inferior, há uma incisão feita na “casca”: um cruzeiro do sul indicando sua localidade, tatuada ou “escavada” sob o invólucro vivo que a pintura concebeu.
