In SPRING IN THE TEETH, painting is treated as a kind of dissection of the body—not only in the visual sense, but also in the “soul” that painting itself grants to flesh. This “mass” intersects two bodies, transforming them into a single organism without defined contours, where one individual begins and ends in the other, like a Möbius strip made of skin and flesh.
It carries earthy qualities through its palette and denser layers of paint, contrasting these with subtle transparencies that hover in a ghostly manner over robust hills and labyrinthine depressions. Protrusions, warmth, fissures, and vertices guide the interaction of this anatomy with itself, with the other, or with a translucent, uncanny reality—often less real than matter itself.

Em PRIMAVERA NOS DENTES a pintura é trabalhada como uma espécie de dissecação do corpo. Não apenas no sentido visual, mas também a “alma” que a própria pintura confere à carne. Essa “massa” intersecciona dois corpos e os transforma num mesmo organismo sem contornos definidos, onde um indivíduo se inicia e termina no outro numa espécie de fita de Möbius feita de pele e carne.
Ela traz propriedades terrosas através da paleta e de uma carga mais densa de tinta, contrapondo essa característica através da inserção de transparências sutis que pairam de maneira fantasmagórica sobre as colinas robustas e depressões labirínticas. Protuberâncias, calor, fendas e vértices que conduzem a interação dessa anatomia consigo, com o outro ou com a realidade translúcida, estranha e, muitas vezes, menos real que a própria matéria.
