In this work the body is "removed" from the limits of a conventional canvas. A search for a body-as-support for the painting of the body-as-person. In earlier works the body was cropped by the very edges of the rectangular canvas; here it is set free through the act of cutting itself: an operation of discovering landmasses that break away from the anatomical body like a drifting continent.
The materiality of the body is also a territory where borders (political, utopian and geographical) are imposed: by the dance of tectonic plates, by the cartographer's pen, or by the material movement of History.
